4th of July!!!!

As you all know this past week was the 4th of July :) I feel like since we are in another country it wasn't constantly on our minds and it just snuck up on us! Thankfully one of our country directors here LOVES to throw parties so we had quite the evening on the 4th! I was afraid that it was going to be a super homesick day being away on a holiday. I remember on my mission that the 4th was one of my most homesick days! Thankfully this was much better!

I was at home for most of the day with a few of my dearest friends here working on our English Booklet (see post below). During the day we took a quick lunch break to one of the cutest little places here in our village!

They had the best smoothies and yummiest fried rice!

Since we were at home we decided to decorate the place a little bit and bring the American Spirit to our little home!

Once a majority of the other volunteers got home that day from working on the obstacle course we all got busy preparing one of the biggest feasts I have ever had! I mentioned before that one of our country directors likes to party and he threw a great party!!

We had food coming out of our ears that night!!
It was so fun to prepare though!!

This was the closest we got to fireworks that evening!

We ended the evening watching Heavy Weights as a group! Maybe it was because we are so far away from home having this crazy cool experience but this movie was soo funny to me that night!!

Since I have been here I am constantly reminded of how grateful I am to be from America. I feel so blessed the be born where I have been born with the freedoms that I have been blessed with my whole life. Freedoms that I have taken for granted my whole life people have never dreamed of here in Thailand. I felt more grateful then ever this 4th of July for my freedoms and for the wonderful life Heavenly Father has blessed me with!
